Many 2010 brides have opted for natural tones and recycled handmade papers.
Uniquely shaped invitations, whether square, DL or completely abstract (see Gold Tri-fold Invitation Sample). We are also seeing a continuation of the vintage patterns we saw last year, though executed in colours inspired by natural, with metallic, and lots of grey! Whether you choose to follow these trends or theme your stationery to match the wedding venue is up to you. Brides often already have a colour in mind, since your wedding day is something you've dreamt about since you were a little girl! Fuchsia Designs will help translate your vision into something really special that really describes you as a couple.
Here are some tips:-
COLOURS
- Natural tones combined with recycled papers
Accent the basics with something bright like Violet, Yellow, Eucalyptus or Pink Champagne.
- Seasonal Colours - Autumn is on it's way, so theme it in shades of brown, burgundy and orange.
If you are having a beach wedding go for turquoise blue or sand.
- Why not stick to a single colour. Show it's versatility by experimenting with textures like lace or ribbon. This can also be
achieved by embossing or foiling. Use strong design elements to make a statement and build from there.
EMBELLISHMENTS
Embellishments are always a popular feature, adding excitement and interest. These can be diamante brads, bold floral prints or photography, depending on the desired effect.
Laser cut motifs (see Marie Antoinette Sample) or handmade paper flowers (see Magnolia Flower Sample), a fitting way to marry your invitations with floral decor on the day, setting the tone for your guests to wait upon,
