It’s so exciting to work with rich, bold vibrant colours to create this peacock themed wedding invitation. The wedding card in metallic purple and teal features a custom embossed peacock on the cover, and a feather print with monogram bellyband. Affixed to the inside cover of this wedding invitation is a pocket to hold the guest information you may require. I’m sure this invitation can be altered to suit your colour scheme, if you for example would like to add gold or cerise, or perhaps a peacock feather slipped under the bellyband.Read More »

Researching the theme of A Midsummer Nights Dream cast a spell on us, as we looked to create a custom designed wedding invitation to suit this theme. Amongst other things, the invitation needed to incorporate gold, aubergine and moss green, a traditional silhouette, ivy leaves, and passages from this famous Shakespearean play.
Our result finishes to a square with lasercutting along the left panel, and the bride and groom’s names in romantic fonts. Tiny ivy leaves are strung along a ribbon which is then closed with a bow. To finish, the Midsummer Nights Dream invitation also has printed hearts which scatter as the invitation is presented to a guest.

The format of this invitation is popular to those planning on hand delivering because it is personalised and also neatly presented with a ribbon to close. The wedding and guest information content areas are staggered with titles as you can see in the image. Should it be required, the Umabo ceremony replaces the Guest Information panel, which is then affixed to the outer layer.
In this example we have worked to our clients’ brief using ivory, lilac, violet and purple. We also added a semitransparent layer beneath the metallic ivory board to ensure the lasercut monogram stands out. We can adapt the colour scheme to suit your theme, we can also incorporate a belly band should this be preferable.Read More »
