We had such fun working with our brides’ parents on this concept which is protea inspired and rustic. The invitation features a custom embossed protea on kraft and nude boards, with an inside pocket for any additional information. With illustrations supplied by Reach Dreams, the completed invitation has floral accents and a romantic palette of colours including blush pink, mint, duckegg and rasberry.Read More »
There are many ways to translate the rustic theme, combining it with the accent colour for your day. Lace, string, doilies, embossing, bunting, typewriter fonts and kraft are some of the beautiful elements we have to play with. Postcard size is most popular, sometimes straight edged, sometimes with rounded corners. In this example we have mounted the invitation printed on kraft to a grey outer board. The invitation has a belly band made from card, jute string and a personalised label. We printed and embossed tiny little polka dots just to add a touch of the coral accent. A simple lace or bakers tie is also very pretty on completion.Read More »
Apart from the rustic and vintage themes continuing to be popular, so to is embossing. Fuchsia are able to incorporate embossing in your colours using an embossing tool, but we do like to incorporate it into a more contemporary style. This charming invitation is made up of cream, silver and kraft coloured boards and has a lace and jute string bellyband. This play on the rustic theme is still very aesthetic and modern, a slightly different take on an established winner.Read More »
Peony roses are a beautiful flower to incorporate into your wedding stationery, especially if they feature on your tables or as part of the bridal party bouquets. In this example, a peony rose has been cut out of a square invitation in kraft, though this can be done in any colour. The format is as such that when open, the rose is still visible on the left of the central content area. It really is a statement flower and looks extremely elegant on completion.Read More »
